Oh so NOW you claim the BCS broken!!!

First, let me say, "Roll Tide!"  Alabama and LSU are headed to NOLA for the BCS National Championship game, and of course, people are complaining.  Mainly, Oklahoma State.  I actually think Stanford has a better case than Okie State.

Let's run through this.  Alabama (#2) is beaten by LSU (#1) in overtime.  This, luckily, only drops Alabama to #3, and puts Oklahoma State at #2.  Oklahoma State then loses to unranked Iowa State in double overtime.  Stanford (#4) loses to Oregon (#7).  Let's see here.  Alabama loses to #1 team, Stanford loses to the #7 team, and we're supposed to believe that Oklahoma State, who loses to an UNRANKED team, deserves to be in a National Championship game?  Hmmmm, I'm with Nick Saban on this one (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/story/2011-12-04/final-coaches-ballots/51647440/1?fb_comment_id=fbc_10150448817269240_20708006_10150449742794240#f30dee13d96746e).  If it wasn't Alabama I'd want Stanford.  However, neither OK St. or Stanford would win against LSU, and Russell Shepard of LSU and Brad Smelley of Alabama agree.

Russell Shepard, "Bra we would #smash OKST......they coach better calm down."

"I have no time for Mike Gundy. Dude just claimed Ok state would score 35 points on LSU..pass me what your drankin coach"

Anyway, moving right along.  Oklahoma State did put up an impressive routing of the Sooners.  I give them props for that, but the loss to an unranked team is just sad.  What's even worse is their use of a tragedy to claim the right to be in the NCG.  As Patton Smith said, "I'll take it a step further: Anyone wanting to play the sympathy card in a discussion about college football . . . I'll meet you at the Krispy Kreme on McFarland."  In addition, "Life is filled with problems and you are Not the only one who has them. Leaders understand this and push past Lifes problems. Quitters allow Lifes problems to control them." ~ Vincent Ortega, Jr.  Now, that quote was about business and life, but I find that it applies nicely to this tragedy argument.

The Pokes are now boycotting the BCS NCG, and numerous people across the country are complaining about the rematch claiming the BCS is broken.  People, it's been broken, and the SEC has been saying it for YEARS!  In fact, in 2008 the SEC along with the ACC tried to have the plus 1 conversation, but no one wanted that conversation.  Six SEC National Championships later, which I am including this NCG because either way it's an SEC win, you're claiming it's broken when a team that lost to an unranked opponent doesn't get the bid.  We haven't liked the system for a while now, glad to see you're finally coming around. I guess you're ok when an SEC team gets crapped on like Auburn did in 2004, but anyone outside of the SEC and you change your tune and want to boycott.

Does anyone see how 5th grade this is? "Hmphf! Stomp! My team didn't get in because the BCS is broken! Even though there was a chance to discuss a change in 2008! The SEC is a big bully! Waaaaaaahhhh Waaaaahhhh"

Yawn, go ahead boycott the game Okie State.  I'll be cheering for Stanford anyway. I'd love to see a nerd school whip up on y'all.
